But since you're already here at our website, we'll tell you a bit about our testimony and beliefs! It is our understanding from scriptures that the original Apostles baptized, and were baptized, in the name of Jesus Chist for the remission of sins. Therefore, we embrace Acts 2:38 as the beginning of our plan of salvation. When on the day of Pentecost, after the people in the streets of Jerusalem had heard the 120 people speaking in various tongues, and Peter had explained from the scriptures of the Old Testament exactly what was really happening, and had told the people of their guilt in having crucified their Savior, the question was asked, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?" The answer for them, then, is the same as the answer for us, now, for we all are guilty of the death of the Lord Jesus Christ by our sins. Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, [then there is the promise] and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. So, you see, we all can be partakers in the infilling of the Holy Ghost, just as they were in those days, first in the Upper Room, then soon after in the streets of old Jerusalem, and throughout the known world, from their time to ours.
We believe in one true God who came in the flesh as the man Jesus Christ to live our perfect example, die for our sins, arise from the grave and live on forever to make continuous intercession for us who believe on His name. We believe and rely daily on the grace of God, because we're not perfect! We believe in living holy in this world, which means doing right, being modest, humble, godly, and reverent, leading a separated lifestyle from the sinful ways of this world, and taking on the viewpoint of the Lord, with the goal of not only saving ourselves, but also those who will hear us. We believe that Jesus Christ is returning the same way He left, and that we who are in the grave dead in Christ will rise first, and those who are alive and in Christ will then also rise to meet Him in the air, then we'll follow Him throughout everything that comes after that!
We believe there will be a tribulation like nothing anyone has ever seen.
We believe there will be a Millenial Reign of the Kingdom of God on earth.
We believe there will be a final judgement.
We believe in obeying the laws of the land as the scripture continually dictates.
In short, we at the Bridges household believe the Bible, and we're counting on the blood of Jesus Christ and the word of our testimony to get us through. This is what you should do as well, if you want to be saved, because living forever is a very special thing.
We believe, teach, and cannot deny that anyone who will can not only talk to God, but also hear from Him if they will listen as hard as they can; but if you want to live forever, you will have to not only hear Him, you will have to do what He says.
